Jerry was so very special. He and I hung out together in high school and had so many little inside jokes. He was just so funny and cute and crazy. Often times, years later, I would see him on a visit back to Buchanan, and he would always say "do you remember the time..." and we would laugh like two kids. One can fall in love many times during a lifetime but the first love always holds a special place in our hearts. We met as teenagers on the bumper cars ride at Lakeside Amusement Park. We dated through high school, became engaged and made plans for the future. And then, shortly after graduation, my dad passed away unexpectantly. Please know that my heart goes out to the family in this time of sorrow. I have known Jerry for many years at Varney and he always made me laugh. Know that he will be missed dearly, but NOT forgotten. RIP Jerry.

I have only known Jerry for a couple years, but he has left me with a lasting impression for a life time. I pray for his family and friends at this time. Jerry I know you are enjoying Heaven!!! I will miss you, But i will see you again.

Dear Kay, William and family, words cannot express how deeply saddened I am over the loss of Jerry. He was one of my best friends at Varney. He kept me laughing with his funny sayings and antics.
I will miss baking pies for him on Sunday but will always remember how happy he was to eat them.
I am so glad and grateful that Jerry passed through my life and will be a better person because of him.
