Bill was a great guy and I enjoyed my short stint at Moffet Productions back in the late 80's. You are missed by all who knew you Bill.

Sincerest condolences to the Wohrer and Moffett families. Every time I hear Imagine Dragons - I'm On Top of The World or Grand Funk's - I'm Your Captain/Closer To Home, I always think of that great mentor who gave a young married guy who longed for radio, a job in production. Bill always demanded perfection of his craft, both in the end product and in his employees. While in my mid 40's now, I hv always carried his mantra with me of "work it should, shine it must". I learned many great things...

Back in the 80's the 97 Rock breakfast show, complete with Bill and Andy Beaubien, came to London to broadcast a week of breakfast shows back to Houston. I was lucky enough to be working on the UK end and such was the warmth and magnetism of the man it was impossible not to be drawn into his orbit. We stayed in touch, he was generous enough to host me for a few days at his home when I visited Houston and I managed to send the odd voiceover job his way while making corporates and promos over...

Happy Birthday, buddy. I know I am an hour and a half late, but I've been thinking about you all day. You are the best brother anyone could have and you will be with me here until the day I see you again.

Bill was a legend in the Houston radio community, and I was lucky to work with him when I was the Program Director of KAUM in the 1970s. We remained in touch long after I moved on to different markets, and I always enjoyed our conversations about radio, and the lives we were leading since we worked together. Sincere condolences to the Wohrer family. Bill was a great guy, but his memory will live on in all of those who knew him.

Houston has lost a great man! Bill not only fostered radio in Houston but was a nationwide influence whose voice is Legendary! I was blessed to be anointed by his advice during my years at KLOL. I will never forget the time Van Halen did a RockLine show from his place in the Woodlands hosted by Bill. His "party on a stick" annual events were the highlight of the Holiday season as was his infamous "fruitcake recipe" on radio stations across the country. The friendship and warmth that he showed...

I am very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. This piece is a beautiful tribute that truly encompasses the man he was. I will always remember the hours spent with Bill at Moffett Productions watching him work, sharing a scotch and listening to his stories about his radio days gone by. I was a young kid trying to find my way and Bill took the time to pass on many pearls of wisdom and life lessons. Funny, how his beautiful voice and the unique way he punctuated his words helped solidify...

I wish I could have had the privilege of meeting you, but I will tell you one thing that I am sure of. You must have been an amazing person because the part of you I did know was your son Christopher, and he is great. I am guessing that he turned out so nice, honest, and generous because of you. RIP angel I never knew.
