William Douglas Worthington

The man was like a legend to me my whole life, given the work him and his family had done for all of us through the decades. He helped me get my 6620 combine running by selling me parts off his old ones still in the sheds. I will likely soon have a 2nd one going and thus have 2, just like he had back when I was a boy. Back in 1988 he had just cleaned out his machines but nevertheless got my dads crops off before bad weather when his own combine broke down. I would not be farming today...

Doug was a great friend. I had the opportunity to work with him in his farming decisions. His love for agriculture was deep. Would always put his crops last if a neighbor called him for help. Doug was engaged to his work for a lifetime, and he worked his land with the yearly harvest ever before him.
