WILLIAM R. WURL Jr.

I was always jealous of my friends that had Mr. Wurl for a teacher. Just seeing him walk around the halls with spunk in his step and a big smile on his face, you knew he loved his job and seemed to never have a bad day.

Loved having Bill & Jan as neighbors in Arizona. They were one of the first couples we were introduced to when we moved to The Highlands. Jan was so kind and welcoming and Bill was a man with a great sense of humor and fun to be around.
May God bless and comfort you and your family at this time of sorrow.

Bill Wurl was a great teacher and one of the funniest men I knew. He had a way of always making you feel special. So sorry for you loss.

Mr. Wurl was a fantastic example of how to add levity to math class. He was one of my favorite math teachers at Buffalo Grove High School, and always brought laughter to the room when he talked about his children Denise, Denephew and Tilta. He called me "Streamers" and would sing "Down by the old Dallstream" when he saw me in the hallway. Such fond memories from high school. Rest in peace, Mr. Wurl.

Bill was a great teacher and friend... He taught me some of the skills necessary to be a good teacher... RIP Bill...
