Not sure what to say?

It is with great regret that I was unable to thank this wonderful man for all that he did. He meant so much to so many and I will always be grateful for all that he taught me, for his kindness and for his love of music that he shared with the world.

I will miss you Bill. I will miss stage managing those fantastic shows for you; I will miss taking singing lessons from you in your basement, where your voice was still booming and unstoppable at 82; I will miss your laughter and enthusiasm for life as we fixed a gutter or two; I will miss you my friend.

Wishing my deepest sympathy to Peggy, the kids and all the grandkids on the passing of your Husband, Dad and Grandfather, Bill Yates.

Being a child growing up as next store neighbor to the Yates family I had the unique privilege to see Bill and Peggy raise their family that still inspires and influences me today.

My bedroom was right next to where the family rehearsed that gave me an opportunity to see and hear the family perform every day.

I am sorry to hear of Mr. Yates passing. As a former student of his at EOCH (class of 75), him and his family are in my prayers.

Over the many miles and decades there has always been a fondness for the Yates family in my heart.
I know that my mom and dad will have greeted Bill with a hearty hello and homecoming in heaven.
My best to you all as you are in my prayers.

I found about the passing of Mr. Yates in the oddest of ways and came to express my deepest sympathy. My daughter is a music student at Kean and just told me that Dan teaches there. How small the world is!

I, too was a student at EOCH and neighbor to the Yates family. My mom owned the dancing school down the street. I remember how disappointed I was when Mr. Yates smartly turned me down for the glee club.

Mr. Yates was always a joy and a pleasure to be around. When they...

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Yates family at the passing of Mr. Yates. I have know the Yates family from Holy Name where I went to school with Stephen and then to EOCH where Mr. Yates taught me music. I was never in the glee club but I attended all the concerts. Whenever I hear Carol of the Bells or the Hallelujah Chorus I am brought back to the wonderful singing at those concerts under Mr. Yates' direction. He was a very special man and raised a great family. I will keep him...

Bill was a wonderful role model for me. He took me under his wing when I was at Our Lady of the Valley High in 1965. I worked in several of his summer productions. I will keep all of you in my prayers

To Steve and his family: I am very sorry at your loss of your father. Dorothy and I are praying for you and your family. May God watch over all of you during this sad time. God Bless!
