William R. Ziegler

My condolences on Mr. Ziegler's passing. I remember his gregarious, motivating personality.

As a student at Fletcher Elementary School between 1975 and 1981 I remember Mr. Ziegler very fondly. He was very memorable for his strong teaching of gym. I remember he gave everyone at least five chances to shoot a basketball. I remember being introduced to dodgeball, baseball, running relay races, and tag. There would be never a moment in gym you were not moving with Mr. Ziegler in charge. I think he inspired a lot of kids to go into teaching gym including myself in subbing gym a lot. He...

Great memories of all the sports I learned to play from Mr. Zeigler at Fletcher Elementary. My thoughts are with his family.

Mr. Ziegler was gym teacher at Fletcher when I went there in the 1970s. Remembered him very fondly.

Sad to hear that my neighbor growing up has passed. We grew up playing sports at Green's Field and Kramer's Field in Ypsilanti. He was a great competitor and fun to be around.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Ziegler´s passing. He was my gym teacher at Fletcher and later a co-worker. He will be missed. I hope fond memories help to ease a bit of your grief.
