Not sure what to say?

Just wow, i am totally heartbroken to learn of Billy´s passing. Billy and I toured together with Kitaro in the early 1990s. Billy and I would geek out for hours and build imaginary instruments out of woods, discussing tonal qualities of each. After the first leg of that tour was over, I had Billy make me my dream bass, which i still play to this day.

Every day, and in every way.

I remember reading this a few years ago and felt compelled to come back and write something, just in case someone who loves him comes back to read it. I met Billy in 2000. I was at front of house mixing the band Powerthud at SD Street Scene when it used to be downtown. He said he was the band manager, and he told me I had to drink beer while mixed the band, and we became friends for many years. Saddened to come across this. Bill taught me so much. Not just guitar stuff, but life. He was an extremely smart and talented man. He crosses my mind every day. Rest In Peace sir and thank you so much for your contribution to my life.

To Bill Zolla's wife, Rachel, and family members that loved him, please receive my deepest sympathies for your great loss. My heart broke for my friend, Alice Arrington, and Rachel, whom I have only met a few times, when I learned of his passing.

He loved his music and being a musician all his life, that was very clear at an early age.
I remember when he managed the Bottle shop and Avenue Liquor. He was our expert for picking a good cabernet or merlot. He also had a serious wine collection at home, which fortunately had to be restocked frequently.
He seemed to always know what, where and when the next party and or...

God is holding a very dear soul for us to reunite with some day.Bill will forever be in our hearts and remembered with a smile.
