Dr. Banks was a wonderful and wise man who was enormously committed to his patients and to us, his residents. He was such a joy!

I was a few years out of Nursing School and you were doing your residency rotation at Greater South East Hospital when we met back in the 1970's. You have been in every part of my life and heart ever since. I miss you my friend. May your memory be a Blessing.

Our friendship started in first grade... amazing man of incredible intellect and accomplishment. The memories are everlasting. Peace!

My dearest friend I am so glad that I visited with you three days before you left for your heavenly home. You were in great pain but lucid and conversant. You talked about several high school classmates; good times on VUU campus and even some pleasant occasions with my family around birthdays and holidays. Your strong mental acuity and loving spirit showed through even those final days. The Richmond DMV folks will miss you greatly as will I Rest in peace
