To The Bowman Family,
Deacon Bowman's God fearing life is to be celebrated. Not only did I have the pleasure of working with him @ PTO for many years. I also had the joy of fellowshipping with him as well. My late Pastor and friend Rev. Herman Smith often spoke of Deacon Bowman most highly. I also loved to hear him sing one of the "Ole Gospel Hymns. You are in my prayers.

To Mrs. Bowman and family, God bless you in your hour of bereavement. Deacon Bowman was a tremendous leader not only in Bethesda and the city of Washington, but he will be missed in the work of the Lott Carey Convention. I have already prayed for you. Deacon Anthony Preston

Mrs. Bowman

Deacon Willie Bowman set the standard for the role of a Chairman Deacon. My late Pastor Reverend Herman L. Smith always would say, "Bowman is the best Chairman Deacon in Washington". I count it a blessing to have had the opportunity to serve under his leadership.
