HEAVEN SMILE UPON YOU

Pumpkin Pie, as you were affectionately known to me, I will miss the times spent together. I would be telling a lie if I'd say you were not a good provider and father to our daughter Dianne (Nikki). You were there from beginning until you couldn't go any further. On that Friday (January 3, 2009) prior to your homegoing, you spiritually placed Dianne's hand into mine and said, "...you're gonna have to take it from here." What we told you on that evening still stands today, we love you. I...

Daddy, I love you! You were a educated black man, who taught me that " a person can take anything from you, but one thing they can't take is your education". You will be missed.

I want to thank everyone who has signed and sent their condolences here on Willie Brown's guest book. May God continue to Bless you.

Please accept our condolences. We will keep your family in prayer.
Pastor Alphonsus Platt and the Nia Fellowship Baptist Church, Orange, NJ

Please accept my condolences. I remeber when Mr Brown used to attend a few our Block Parties on Littleton Ave in Newark many years ago.

I was saddened to hear of the news of Assembly Wilie Brown's passing. I have known Mr. Brown for probably my whole life through my father Kennedy Wilson. He was a great friend and support to my dad for many many years. Kennedy Wilson and I, Mashariki Wilson would like to send our deepest sympathy and condolenses to the family and we I know my father wishes that he could be there at this time. Thank you Mr. Willie for all of your love and support for our family.

To the Family of Willie Brown,

My hat is off today to Willie Brown. He served NJ, Newark, and Essex County well in the NJ General Assembly. I got to know him during my tenure while working in Gov. Whitman's office. I learned much from my discussions with him. There will not be another like him.

God bless you all,

David J. Byrd
Deputy Chief Administrative Officer
Prince George's County, MD
and nephew of Ann (Byrd) Crumidy

Please accept our deepest sympathy
during this difficult time.

Willie Burt Brown was my high school classmate: Blue Ridge High School, Seneca, SC 1958. He was always a wonderful person to be around and to have as a friend. He was considerate and always willing to help. I will miss him and i know all of the other classmembers will also. May God grant peace to his family.
