Willie Davis

Remember him well working at the Midland Country Club. I was one of the cleaners that clean his room in Midland Michigan along with others that had board week for Dow.

As a Packers fan as a young boy, Mr. Davis was a hero to many of us. Many years later as a Dow Chemical engineer I had the chance to speak to Mr. Davis as a member of the Dow board and was even more impressed with him more as a businessman than the great player of his youth. He was inspirational in many dimensions. It was a great honor to meet him and shake his huge hand. What an inspirational man and a role model to so many people.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family for their loss of a talented man, who will be remembered for his contribution to athletic world. May you find comfort and strength in God during this time of mourning.

Dear family of Willie,my deapest condolence for your loss. I was in the army at fort Carson Colorado. We played volleyball in the same team in 1956. Great memories

My father, Ron Kramer played with Mr. Davis in the Lombardi years. Though my dad was traded to the Lions, they stayed dear friends. In my teenage years I would go to the Lombardi Golf Classic in Appleton. Mr Davis was always interested in what I had to say, and what I was doing. We even danced a few dances after at the party after the tourneys. I smile when I think of him paying attention to me, as I am sure God is smiling to have him in arms.

Mr. Davis have been part of my family since the mid '70's. He was my dad's boss and his best friend. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Davis and the of his family. May God comfort all of you at this time. Much love!
