Willie Edward Hagans entered eternal rest on March 4, 2016 at the age of 42. He was the son of the late Johnnie Edward Hagans, Sr. and the late Dorothy Maye Hagans. Willie was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Willie was preceded in death by his brother Terry Lionel Hagans; and his sister Martha Hagans. Willie was a graduate of McMain Magnet school – class of 1991. Willie leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Dorothea Hagans, Stephanie Williams and Winifred Jackson. Three brothers: Kenneth Hagans, Sr., Johnnie Hagans,Jr. and Robert Hagans. Three nieces: Dominique Hagans, Doreen Hagans and Tanisha Hagans. Seven nephews: Kenneth Hagans, Jr., Jovan Hagans, Kevin Hagans, Jugonduo Hagans, Dannail Hagans, Rev. Tyrone Jackson, Jr. and Johnnie Hagans; And a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend The Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Christian Mission Baptist Church at 11:00 a. m. 1477 N. Robertson Street, New Orleans, LA 70116. I am so sorry to hear of Willie's passing. He was one of my closest friends when we were young. I always looked up to him and still do. My deepest condolences to the Hagans family.

I had the pleasure of working with Willie at PSR for the past few years. He never ceased to amaze me with his knowledge of football! I enjoyed his company, and my heartfelt condolences go out to those who loved him dearly.
