There are no words to express the sadness in our hearts about “Hicky” Deacon Willie High passing. He was a praying and singing man. As a child I remember him, my father, J. W. Kennedy and other deacons in Sumter County singing those down home Dr. Watt hymnals during devotions. The life and love he shared with so many people speaks for him. We were saddened to learn of Mr. High's passing. We all wondered why we hadn't come by to see us like he normally did. He will be truly missed at the Bessemer Court in the Revenue Dept.

Deepest Sympathy to the High family as you mourn the passing of your Patriarch. Mr. High was loved by the Riley community and the City of Birmingham and surrounding areas.
