To the family I offer my condolences and heartfelt sympathy. Deek and I were friends for more than 50 years. We were friends way before I became a part of the family. Deek and I shared a lot of conversation about his love for African American History. I learned a great deal of history from him and I will miss that. Deek is gone from our presence to be absent from the body now present with the Lord. Gone but never be forgotten. He's free now ......
