Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to your family, I so loved your stories about Willie Maie and admired her spirit and character throughout these years. She was an inspiration to everyone. I send you all my prayers and love through this difficult time.

Willie Maie Pleasant McLean shared with us a shining vision. Her energy generated a creative energy in those of us privileged to know her, to love her, and to work beside her.

She inspired our belief that we could make the world a more beautiful place, in our own corner of the world. She believed that we would make this beauty from our own vision and from materials at hand whether those were the most refined gold leaf on tin ware, or rare pigments on silk, or iris leaves cut...

I will always remember my great aunt Willie's sparkle and quiet enthusiasm about the subtle beauty in the natural world. She had a warmth that infused all of her life and touched those around her. I have never experienced such creativity and ingenuity in a person! Willie's life is to be celebrated!

My deepest sympathy to Willie's family. My parents were good friends of hers and others helping to create "Stuido 23".

Bay City and the Bay City Garden Club has lost a dear friend in Willie's death. She was a treasure and a most talented and gifted person who shared her gifts with others. After a visit with her, you always felt better and more challenged. I will miss her wisdom. She was the epitome of a Southern lady...

We both have very fond memories of dear Willie and her devotion to the garden club. May her soul rest in peace with all the saints and the souls of the faithful departed.
