Read MoreI met Willie in mid 1970. Striding in with his mini-fro, permed hair, he and his laughter took command of that room! Though we lost touch over the years, he was always a friend. I know that Willie is in a better place and free of pain, but I'm selfish and saddened to know that he is gone. Willie and I called each other "cousin" so much that folks would ask if we were kin. I would have been proud to have been Willie's real cousin. If there someone who was not Willie's friend, he not of this world. Willie had a joke for every moment, yet was a stand up guy who you could depend on when things were hard.
