Celebration of His Life’s Journey from October 3, 1980 to July 4, 2021. Willie Dee Quinnie Jr. was a native of Theodore, Alabama. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at the Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church. His precious baby girl Daijah Renee Quinnie was received into heaven on December 06, 2007. His maternal grandparents Connie and Susie O’Field and his paternal grandparents Roosevelt and Carrie Mae Quinnie, four uncles: Michael, Roosevelt, Donald, and Larry Quinnie, and one aunt Linda Elliot were at the celebration welcoming him to his heavenly home. He leaves to share his legacy a host of loving family members and friends; the love of his life Shanadia Quinnie, two amazing daughters Kayla Quinnie and Briana Quinnie, four amazing sons Phillip Belcher Jr., Ethan Holmes, Willie Dee Quinnie III, and Jaxson Roosevelt Quinnie. He was blessed to share his space and time with two of the most devoted and exemplary parents Willie Dee and Rosie Quinnie Sr. Three supportive and loving sisters Natasha (Gerald) Montgomery, Shelia Quinnie, and Tinisha Trotter. Six aunts: Sandra Goldman, Lillie (Fred) Sanders, Ruth (Ronald) Suggs, Linda Bradley, Mavis O’Field, and Annette Quinnie. Three uncles: Clifton (Stephanie) Quinnie, Connie O’Field, and Duane (Tina) O’Field. A best friend and brother Ray Johnson. And a devoted cousin Clifton Quinnie Jr. His in-laws who loved and treated him as their son Roosevelt and Sharon Henderson and Michael (Robin) Brown Sr. Four Brothers in Law: Reverend Michael (Angela) Brown Jr., Miguelle (Tiffany) Henderson, Travis Peyton, and Colin (Shun) Brown. Three Sisters in Law: Shanelle Henderson, Dominique Peyton, and Chinikki Richardson. His nephews: Sam and Tyler. His nieces: Sierra (Jair), Jasmine, Sharion, and Paris. And one great nephew Jeremiah O’Neal Bradfield. A host of other loved ones cousins, and friends. 

He was an avid Chess player, Business owner, Professional football player and athlete. He made friends all over the world, as he shared his love of football in the NFL, Arena, Canadian, and European Football Leagues. Willie started playing football at the age of 6 with his big sister, Tinisha, serving as a cheerleader at his side. Willie was educated at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he played on the football team as a wide receiver and punt return. His professional football career spanned from 2003 to 2011 where he played in the American National Football League for the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers. He also played in the Canadian Football League for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Willie was described by his teammate, Patrick Burchfield, as one of the greatest athletes in UAB History with legs too fast for his body! 

Willie was a remarkable visionary and business owner. He poured his soul into his business and was determined to leave a legacy for his children. He loved spending time with his family and always was the life of the party. He was very competitive and a family bowling match would often become an olympic event complete with smack talking and his famous victory dance. Most of all he was a good friend to all, often having an encouraging word for everyone he came in contact with. But his first love was family. His first quote to his first niece after the birth of his first great nephew was, “Niece you and Jeremiah came through and put a ‘great’ on everybody!” He was truly happy to receive the title of great uncle.
