Uncle Stan was like a father to me when I was young. He and my Mother were very close and I loved to hear her stories of their mischievous adventures in the hills of Kentucky when they were children. She also told me what a brave soldier he was in World War II. He was a scout, which was a dangerous position, but of course he never talked much about it, being the modest person he was. We are so saddened by the passing of our good friend and neighbor Stan. Stan and Betty have been the best neighbors one could ask for. We hope Betty and the family's hearts will soon be filled with the memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
