Willie Edgar Thornton

My sincere condolences to the family during this time of loss. Willie and my mother were first cousins and they grew up together in Georgia. I got a chance to meet him at one of our family reunions and at family funerals. I believe he is the last Thornton of his generation. May God bring you comfort and peace.

Sending my condolences to the family, my uncle Willie was so sweet and caring. I remember when I would come to Texas as a teenager the only place I wanted to go was 1013 Sherman and he would take us to football games, and aunt Carol would let me ride with her. I'm maria skinner, his niece by marriage. I recall me and his daughter Sandra drove with him to Americus georgia for his family reunion. That was literally a trip but a good one

Willie was a man of God who cared for many, especially family members. God allowed us to work together for several years at the Waco V.A. hospital. Willie never let a day go by without talking about the Lord and the Lord´s grace. You will be missed Willie and my condolences go to his family/friends. Until we meet again! Sincerely, Mark Donaldson
