Willie E. Warren, 61, a retired U.S. Army Veteran passed away peacefully at his home on July 24, 2015 surrounded by his family.

Willie was born on April 15, 1954 in Prattville, Alabama to the union of James and Queen Elizabeth Warren. His father preceded him in death.

Willie was married to Evelyn (Collins) Warren on September 30, 2000 in Colorado Springs. Willie courageously served over 20 years in Military and received numerous metals. Willie enjoyed playing Poker and Dominoes. He served his community as a referee for Girl Fast Pitch Softball. He loved spending time with his grandkids, taking vacations and dancing.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Evelyn, his children; Enrico Warren, Montoya and Latoya Warren, his stepchildren Vivian Jackson, Evelyn Hall, Napoleon Hartfield and Thomas Collins, 11 grandchildren including Tyress and Thomas Johnson, brother Daniel (Linda) Warren and sisters; Gwendolyn Ann Burton, Annette (Sterling) Buramus, Janette (Leguster) Chaney, Marilyn (Ted) Gerard, Deborah Warren and many other families and friends.

A visitation will be held on July 30, 2015 from noon to 2:00 pm with a service following at 2:00 pm at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors, 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs.

Willie was such a great person. I knew him at Schriever AFB and he use to ref basketball with my husband. It was a big loss to us all who loved Willie. God bless him and his family. He is missed by all.

Going to miss you Willie! You had a great smile and an awesome laugh!! Your way of calling a strike on the softball field always made me smile. You were fun to work with. God bless and keep you my friend.

I knew Willie at Schriever AFB and he always had a smile and a great laugh. We missed Willie when he left Schriever and we all have very fond memories of him. To Willie's family...I am truly sorry for your loss and our loss as well.

We will always remember Little Willie playing dominoes and cards with us. He was always a very happy person and kept us laughing. He will be missed. Pat Wallis and family, Bridget, Karen, Stephanie, Sadie, Thomas, Skip, Al, Mr. Guy and many others.

I will always remember willie for his big smile whether he was calling softball or just talking to you in general!! Nobody called a strike like willie!! Gonna miss you brother!!!

May the many Blessings of our Lord and Savior be showered on your families during this time of sorrow. Let God be your fortress in which you take refuge, let Him be your stronghold so you'll never be shattered. I pray that God grant you all with the serenity and peace, that each of you need to get through these difficult and painful days. May you all take comfort in knowing that you have an "Angel" in Heaven who watches over you all now. Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow...

Willie, I will never forget playing Dominos with you down at Hazmart. You would turn over that Domino and slam it down on the table and make me jump up out of my seat. May you rest in peace! To the family, may you find peace and know that Willie is with God now. I am sorry for your loss.
