Not sure what to say?

A big "Amen" to my sister Nancy's earlier entry. I attended the funeral of Uncle Calvin today and I am blessed by what I saw and heard. What an incredible testimony to a kind & loving soul, who so often put others first through service, compassion and humor. I was particularly touched by His love of Our Heavenly Father and passing that legacy to his son Donnie, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as was expressed so eloquently. It is the world's loss that Uncle Calvin passed away,...

My heart goes out to my Aunt Donna and cousins Don and Tonya and all of their beautiful children and grandchildren. Uncle Calvin was one of those rare people who lit up a room when he entered it, and always had a loving, friendly smile when you saw him. I saw him last summer at a wedding, and he reminded me of all the funny family memories from so many years back... He had several stories about me as a kid that he said still made him laugh. Calvin has touched the hearts of many. If the level of Calvin's kindness, thoughtfulness, and caring love of others is used as a benchmark, then we all can be a better person.
We all know where he is now and he will always watch over us.
I will always miss my brother-in-law.

Our hearts & prayers go to you, Donna and Donald, along with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We learned of Calvin's death through the Flint Journal over the internet.
Rest assured Brother Calvin is presently with Christ. The Apostle Paul says, "...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
God bless all of you in your sorrow.
