Willis Peterson was my mentor and teaching inspiration when I was hired to teach a beginning photography class as an adjunct faculty member in the fall of 1981 at Glendale Community College. He was already a legendary photographer and teacher, but was also a very kind and generous mentor and person. Willis was a brilliant photographer with a love and passion for the natural world.
