Wilma Blanche Williams, the daughter of Lisle L. and Amber S. (Burson) Kempton was born October 3, 1924 in Glenwood, Iowa. She died suddenly on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her home in Glenwood, Iowa at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 23 days. Wilma was raised in the Tabor area. She also lived in Washington state and Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Floyd L. Williams on December 27, 1950 in Blair, Nebraska. Following their marriage, they made their home in Red Oak where Wilma worked for Ideal Pharmacy for many years. In 1982, after Floyd's retirement, they moved to Texas and in 1985, to Mesa, Arizona. In 1999, after 14 years in Mesa, Wilma and Floyd moved to Glenwood, Iowa. Wilma enjoyed shooting billiards, and even played in a league while living in Mesa. She was proud of the gold medal she won for billiards in the Senior Olympics in Arizona. Wilma cherished the time spent with family. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary in Red Oak. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Floyd on February 14, 2007; two sons: Floyd and Mike; and brother: Donald Kempton. Wilma is survived by her son: Ronald Williams and wife Norma of Tabor, Iowa; daughters: Sharon Foreman and husband Ronald of Clarksville, Arkansas; Peg Bruce and husband Butch of Hastings, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Virginia Forney of Surprise, Arizona; other relatives and a host of friends.
