Not sure what to say?

My sympathies to June and family.
Wilson was working at the Trenton Times when I worked two summers in the marketing department there. I was a Penn State student at that time and Wilson knew I was a journalism major, feeling out of place writing promotional copy. He was very kind and immensely helpful during those summers. He and June later visited Penn State for a Sigma Delta Chi event. They treated my roommate and me to dinner, which neither of us ever has forgotten because it was...

Wilson hired me at The Trentonian in 1986 right after I was fired from a little weekly in Burlington County. I told him the story about why I was fired, and he hired me on the spot, launching a career that has spanned four states and is continuing today. Many times through the years I have relied on things that Wilson taught me. He was indeed a man worth listening to because he stood for something and had something to say. I wish I had taken the time to thank him properly for helping me.

Mr. Barto was one of the kindest most intersting people I have had the pleaseure of taking care of. It saddens me to not have been able to care for him longer and get to know him better. My condolences go out to all his family members.

Wilson was a journalist, a historian, a proud Penn Stater, a friend, and most importantly a brother in Christ. We will forever treasure the times we spent with him over these past few years. Our prayers are with June and the family.

Remember Wilson as the wonderful man who took time away from his family to supervise and mentor we teenagers at a Yardley Methodist Church youth group retreat in the mountains. He was so much fun! Years later he was my editor at the Trentonian and he was still lots of fun! What an amazing, caring man! I feel very lucky to have know Wilson.

I have fond memories of Wilson darting back to the 1980s when I servered in the N.J. Assembly. He was the perfect example of the consumate journalist. I enjoyed our exchanges on the issues of the day! Wilson was fair, firm and a gentleman! I can still visualize him in the Trenton Times board room pen and legal pad in hand ready to go at it. May he rest in peace!!

We are born for a higher destiney than that of earth; there is a realm where the rainbow never fades, where the stars will spread before us like islands that slumber on the ocean, and where the beings that pass before us like shadows will stay in our presence forever. Edward Bulwer Lytton. You will be missed.

Wilson was a family member that will be missed greatly by everyone. A true and happy friend at every family function.

I worked with Wilson at The Home News back in the 1960s. He was highly thought of by everyone and a true professional. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
