To all who loved Freddie, I just recently found out about the lose of my cousin, Freddie. I had been calling, e-mailing and used face book trying to get in touch with her. We were planning my annual trip to her house in May. Sadly I found out on Google. I'm certain that to this day we are all still stunned and heartbroken. I can't believe this has happened. I know we all think we have more time but this is proof positive that we do not. May God bless all of you as you remember Freddie will going through your day and just thinking back on the incredible human being that she was. Jimylu

To the family of Winifred Allen:
I am so sorry for your loss. Winnie was a friend of mine but more so my husband. They graduated high school together and they ran with the same crowd in HS. She was faithful to tell me of class reunions after my husband passed away at the age of 54. I know they are having a great reunion at the feet of Jesus. My prayer is that God will provide you all with something to fill the void left in your hearts and lives.

Winifred and I were A/Cs...Almost Cousins. That's what we called ourselves.
Her stepmother, Hortense, was my father in law's sister. We were
also true kindred spirits and genuine
"soul sisters". We could talk about
anything...and did..and thought the
same way. Sadly I lacked her outgoing
gregarious spirit, but hers cheered me
on when mine was sorely sagging.
She loved everyone...well maybe almost everyone...and would leap in her car
and drive long distances in very bad
weather to go to the side of someone
in her vast circle of friends to
see to their needs, whatever the need
might be. She regaled me with accounts
of every gathering she had attended..
who was there and what they ate...since
the last get together she told me about. Her energy seemed boundless.
The first time I remarked on this she
said it was because she didn't cook
or clean house. A woman right after
my own heart.
She must have sensed my grief the
sense of loss I cannot describe.
Late this afternoon I sensed the
presence of her spirit and heard her
saying that when she encountered
God she gave Him and earful about
His poor timing. It has caused her
to miss a get together she was looking
forward to in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.
Love you forever Winnie and will
always miss you!
