Winifred Lucile "Winnie" Bachelder

Dear Linda and family,
I am filled with inspiration to learn that your mother/grandmother mentored a high school senior and taught bible to the prison residents in her later years. I see her legacy of volunteerism, giving back and the church in the Bachelder offspring I know. She will be a guide to me as I move forward in this world trying to do good.

Tom, Jan, Linda, and Dave ... Your mom was a special person and a great aunt. She always had time to talk and share her blessings with others. I fondly remember the great hand-written letters she took the time to send me over the years. I really appreciated her efforts to stay in touch. I know she will be missed, but I also know you have so many good memories to make you smile.

Sorry we missed the funeral and greeting you in person. I spoke with your dear Mom not so long ago on the phone, asking her some geneaolgy questions. She sounded so good! We admired her so much and remember those days way back at Westwood and the backyard Bible club she had held at our house on Highgate st. Dear Jan, Tom, Linda, and Dave. My brother Dan, who used to hang out with Dave, alerted me to your mom's passing. Just wanted to pass on my condolences to you all. Winnie always impressed me as a woman of faith and a great mother. The obit described her life so well. May the presence and peace of our Lord be with you during this difficult time.
