Winifred Corbin was the sweetest, most sincere and kind woman I ever knew. She was always smiling and winking at us when we were children. She was elegant and always beautifully dressed and groomed. She was a great example to me when I was growing up, and came to my rescue emotionally when I needed her. God bless her.

I worked part-time at Corbin Optical during my last years of college in the late 1960s. Dr. and Mrs. Corbin were unfailingly generous and kind to me during that time. And even more, Mrs. Corbin showed me what it meant to be a lady. Not just her beauty and elegance, which she had in abundance, but her attributes of kindness, respect and patience toward everyone. She was a special woman.
