Jayne sent an e-mail to tell me about your mom. She was quite a lady, and influenced generations of kids who are now sharing her wisdom with their own families. I was just telling some friends about her fears for you as a little girl who "didn't know the days of the week" at school age. The ensuing dinner conversation cleared that up, as I recall! I also think of her every time I wear a mismatched pair of sneaker socks: "I have another pair just like them, at home!" ...

Hi Patience, so sorry to hear about your mom. I have fond memories of her driving us up to the White Mountains of NH so we could hike and stay in the huts. Hope all is well with you.
