Winifred L. O'Grady

To Ms. Ogrady's family
Ms Ogrady will always be remembered for her enthusiasm and vivacious personality. I studied German with Ms. OGrady for 3 years at Girls' Latin School. Whatever she taught...be it history or math I would have done well. In this case it was German and I went on to get a degree in German Language and Literature at Emmanuel College in Boston. I am sad to hear of her death but feel so privileged to have had her in my life during my years at Girls' Latin School.

I studied German with Miss O'Grady for 4 years at Girls Latin (class of '69). An excellent instructor, she was also a favorite of me and my classmates--I have vivid memories of our inattention in class in October 1967 as the Red Sox battled in the World Series, about which she was very understanding! What a struggle it was to teach German to native Bostonians, who never use an "r' if we can help it.

aunt millie,mary,bill,jigger,and jim i saw winnie's notice in the t&g online edition. i always thought that she was a great lady and i know that you all will miss her. barbara and i send our condolences and hopes that you are all well and in good health.
