I was so shocked and sad when I learned of Winnie's passing. I worked with her on the council on aging in Huntington for a number of years and her spirit for the common good was strong. Her gentle wisdom, energy, joy of life, commitment and sense of fun helped us work through many problems and she topped it all off with her cookies. We will all miss her special light.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. - We had so many good times at Liberty Mutual with Winnie. Thank you for sharing her with us for so many years. I will always remember her WWII stories.

We are so sorry for your loss, and our loss as well. I just heard today from my father, Gordon Tinker, that our beloved Winnie had passed away. He had just spoken to her in the past two weeks. She was such a support to our family in our time of loss last year when my my mother was sick and then at the time of my mother's death. Winnie has always been part of our lives, even if from afar. We will miss her very much. My father thought the world of his cousin Winnie.

My entire extended family is grateful for having been a part of Winnies life for so many years. As Lisa said so well, she was an extraordinary person and a true friend! We were all fortunate to have been part of her life and her legacy lives on in the examples that she set. She will be truly missed!!
