I would like to express my condolences to the family. God is aware of the pain you are going through (Psalm 31:7). May he give you the strength that you need to get through this difficult time.

Blessings and peace to the Groom family. I will remember Winston Groom as a fun, storytelling, big smiling, eyes twinkling, taller than an oak, Southern gentleman. He was always accommodating and always smiling. He could weave a basket full of tales and was beyond brilliant. I'm sure he's bending God's ear, and well "that's all I got to say about that."

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Groom. His Mother, Mrs. Ruth K. Groom taught English and Creative Writing classes at Murphy High School and it was fortunate to be in her class in 1966. Mr. Groom shared her wonderful smile and sense of humor. He will be missed by many.
