Not sure what to say?

Uncle Wisdom,
I will truly miss our heartfelt discussions - as you are one of the few people in this world that really knew and got me. Thank you for being you and always making a joke and leaving everyone in the room laughing. We will miss you - hugs and kisses.

Condolences to the entire family. Dr. Coleman's death is a great loss across this nation to many young people and colleagues. I will miss his return to my office after approximately fifteen years in terms of recruitment and promoting programs in the health sciences, but I know his legacy will remain as a great impact to the world.

I know, I cannot pick up the phone and ask questions any longer and smile at your jokes in reference to great moments, but what I...

Reading the wonderful words of condolence in this Guest Book make me proud of being W. F.'s schoolmate at Broad Street. May the family find strength and comfort in knowing that your son, father, and gradfather had a distinguished career that was a great blessing to humankind.

I've known Wisdom from freshman days at Howard to his days as a dentist. Wisdom has always been a joy to know. He has gone too soon. God knows best. Wisdom was responsible for me obtaining my dental license and I will never forget his and his family's kindness. I will look for Wisdom when I transition.

Dr. Wisdom Coleman was my friend and mentor. Because of him, I joined the faculty at UTHSC 14 years ago. Through his support, guidance, advice, and encouragement I grew.
Wisdom served as a role model for me in many ways... He raised incredible sons; adored and took care of his mother and aunt; nurtured and challenged his students; respected by his colleagues; fought for justice; and believed in responsibility. His daily example challenged me to be my best; find something to laugh about...

My Brother,
You will be missed by the Alpha Community, the Howard Community, the Memphis Community, and every other Community you have touched. I will certainly miss you. Take a well deserved rest.

Dr. Coleman-
You have a big job ahead of you in heaven. You have the huge task of being the guardian angel to all of us on earth that were touched by your kindness, humor, love and "wisdom". We miss you.

Dr. Cottrell C. Mitchell, Greenwood schoolmate, friend and fellow dentist, along with his family send condolences to the Coleman family. To Mrs. Maurice Coleman and W. F.'s children, our prayer is that God will comfort and strengthen you as you mourn the loss of your loved one. (Jackson, MS)
