Aunt Margaret, Linda, Nancy and Stevie,
I just found out today about Uncle WL. I am so sorry ! He was a true Classic, there will never be another WL. With Uncle Bill and Uncle WL, what more could a nephew ask for? It is not where you go it is who know. He made Charleston a better place. Living in Hawaii, what I miss the most are our family get togethers.
He will be sadly missed,

Rae and I were very fond of Mr. Stephens. He never missed an opportunity to bring up the Citadel. He loved that place and anyone who was a graduate even the likes of me. We will miss him.

Dear Margaret, Steve and Family,

May God give you peace and strength at this time. W.L. loved his family, his work, and his City of Charleston. It was a pleasure to have known him since 1968. His leadership and his work ethics will always be remembered. I personally did not have the opportunity to call on him lately, as I have been very ill myself. I shall miss him dearly!
