To the family and friends of Wolfgang Menzel:
Wolfgang will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not allow those we lost on 9/11 be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you.

September 11, 2002... I went to pick up my then, 2 1/2 year old, son from daycare on the first anniversary of that most tragic day... In a small basket by the front door there were pins, handmade by one of the staff members - the pins were beautifully decorated in red, white and blue and each bore a name of a victim of 9-11 - on the back of each pin, the location each was on that fateful day... My son chose my pin very carefully from the many, handed to me and said, "this one mommy"..... ...

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.
