Woody Densen

Woody was a dear family friend. I lived him like an Uncle. He had such a great sense of humor. He even presided over my wedding service as a gesture to my father, a very close friend. Woody was an inspiration to me and l have many great memories.

Woody and I met during his Legislative days and met up again when I appeared in his court frequently in early days of my law practice. Enjoyed many of his stories. Will always remember the one he recounted of the summer job he had in a steel mill in Beaumont. That one miserably hot summer job was all the impetus he required to make damn sure he finished college and graduated from law school.

I had the pleasure of working with Judge Denson many times in my career as a clerk. A very pleasant person to work. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. His family will be in my prayers.
