I first met Xavier at Ball State around 2005. I was the President of the Phi Beta Sigma undergraduate chapter at the time. He was funny and laid back, and always ready to help. Xavier was an interest and supported many of our activities and community service events around campus. He ended up transferring back to Detroit. A few later, around 2009he reached out to me that he had crossed and became a Sigma. I was honored that he pursued membership, and that we were a positive influence in his...

I first met Xavier in high school at Cass Tech, just in passing. He was always quiet and polite. I came to meet him again while attending Wayne State. Even then, he was one of the most respectful people you would ever meet. I can’t recall a time I’ve ever heard or seen him upset, or unpleasant with others. He truly had such a gentle aura, and his bright smile could light up a conversation. I will always remember how present he was with our org, Delta Sigma Pi. You could always count on him....

It still does not seem real that Xavier is no longer here. I was and am still shocked and so sad about his passing.
I knew Xavier from Wayne State University in Detroit. While seeing him on campus, he was always friendly, even if you and him were not acquainted. Xavier recruited me to join Delta Sigma Pi (DSP), a business fraternity on campus (10 years ago this fall). During the pledging process and as I became an active member, I got to witness his character, dedication, passion...

You were special since day 1. You always spoke your mind. Always keep it 100, which annoyed me sometimes but you meant no harm by it, which ended in laughter on your end. You were humble, sweet and fearless. I’ve always admired you. Blessed, to have had a friend like you for 19 years. You were truly a one of a kind and won’t no one be able to take your place. I’ll truly, miss the way you smiled. You’ve always had a beautiful smile to match your genuine personality. Friends forever.

Xavier was such a great guy! He was kind and had a heart of gold. He was loved by many, especially me. I am so grateful for the love and great memories that we shared. I wish it had been in the plans for us to spend many more years together. I am so heart broken that he was taken from me so soon. I am grateful for the years that God did allow us to be partners/lovers/ my best significant other. I will miss his warm hugs, good kisses, support, words of wisdom etc. My love and comfort goes...

My thoughts and condolences are with Xavier's friends and family during this deeply saddening time. Though I was not incredibly close to Xavier, I know he made an incredible impact on many of his Brothers in Delta Sigma Pi. His presence at events will be sorely missed, but his memory will certainly remain. The world is better because he dwelt upon it.
