We have such warm and wonderful memories of Rabbi Lander! We knew him in so many ways, over the years, through his work at Smith College, at the Lander Grinspoon Academy, and through his wonderful wife, Rose Lander, our daughter's legendary Suzuki violin teacher of many years. I worked with Rabbi Lander at Hillel at Smith, but I had known him for many years since he lived very near to my family, Stanley and Dorothy Elkins. When I graduated and decided to get married several years later, my fiancé and I asked Rabbi Lander if he would marry us at Helen Hills Hills Chapel on Smith campus. And he agreed.
