I met Yolanda a few years ago thanks to Melanie and want you to know that we had a very close relationship. She and I leaned on each other in so many ways and I will always miss that beautiful smiling face and spiritual outlook on life. She loved life so much and fought a battle with more strength than I have ever seen. I will always remember her and love her for who she was to me as a friend. Dear Cory,
I want to tell you how sorry I am about you losing you mom. She was your strongest advocate! I am sure your other family members will pick up the pace she chose, and be there for you every minute. I enjoyed my talks with her about your progress. I fondly remember the last time I saw you and your mom. She was studying while you played at Sportscom swimming pool. I can still see your sweet smile as you were swimming in that pool and showing me how you could dive into the water...

My names is katherine alverides. Yalanda and i worked at Walgreen together. She was always there for me when i had a bad day and reminded me that it all turns out ok no matter how bad it was. She will always have a place in my heart.I hope that as i get older i can be as strong as a person as she was.Yolanda always had a greater look out on life than anyone i have ever known.
