I just read Staff Sgt. Yuen Hop’s obituary in the SF Chronicle. It is very nice and commendable that you wrote and published one for him despite having lost him eighty years ago. Brave airmen like Staff Sgt. Hop put themselves at great risk to win the war and liberate people like my mother, who was a teenager under Nazi occupation in the Netherlands for five years. She was liberated in May 1944, came to the US in 1955, met my father and had a very happy life here. What we owe to brave...
