Dr. Yukio Ishizuka

I first met Yukio playing tennis in Rye. He explained that he had conducted a study and decided that sharply angled shots were the most effective to win points. He served from the extreme corner of the court and proved how effective such angles were, usually prevailing. He'd start off like a teenager, no real warm-up rally, and throw in some drop shots, but showed considerable patience with my frustration. Dear Colette, Ken, Natalie and Marc, Lis and I are sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of spending time with your wonderful family in NY and France and remember Yukio as a kind, calm and patient person. We will light a candle in his memory. Much love to you all.

I am so sorry. I did not know. If there is any solace is that his teachings live through you, and for that I am beyond grateful.

My deepest condolences to the Ishizuka family. I will always remember Dr Ishizika's gentle mannerisms and love of life depicted through his art, work and his family.
