Not sure what to say?

This is to you Aunt Wendy,

I will truly miss you. It seemed like as soon as we were becoming close you left this earthly plane. I sure missed a treat in my early years after listening to all the wonderful things people had to say about you at you homegoing service. You were one of the funniest Aunts I had. God sure did find favor in you and shined on you even in your death. You left behind A WONDERFUL legacy. I just hope we can continue the loving kindness you displayed on a daily...

When I first met Miss Yvonne, back in the 70's on Southern Avenue, I knew she was a force that could not be denied. She was strong and was never afraid to speak her mind. Although it has been many years since I have seen her, she will always be a woman I will remember with love and respect and anyone who knew her will never forget her.

With love and respect

It is with deepest sympathy that I express my condolences to Gwen and the rest of the Better family. Wendy (or Sally) as called by Nisey always made me laugh whenever I saw her and she will truly be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Ms. Yvonne. I lived in the same condos as she did for many years to find out that I knew Rick and Martece since high school...what a small world. She would always check on me and even when I moved when I saw her she had a smile and welcomed me with warmth. My father would go by from time to time and catch her outside. She will truly be missed and my prayers go out to the family!!

To Gwen and Family

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Years had gone by since the last time I spoke with or saw Ms. Yvonne. She was a neighborhood "Mother" to a lot of us...and boy did she do it well! (back in the day when it took a village to raise a child)...
I did a people search on the internet a few years back and found an address. Hoping it would be her, I sent a message in a Mother's Day card and my phone numbers just in case. My phone rang at work one day and to my surprise it was Ms. Yvonne! We laughed and talked for a while...

To the Family of Yvonne Better,

I am so sorry to hear of Yvonne's passing. It has come as a surprise to me. I have missed her at church and will continue to miss her. My deepest sympathies to all the family.
