Yvonne Carson Obituary
YVONNE B. passed away on June 8, 2016. Yvonne was born on February 27, 1926 in Sydney, Australia. She immigrated to the United States at age two and a half with her parents who were French citizens. She grew up in southern California where she met and married her loving husband of 63 years, James. She is survived by her husband James, son Larry (Victor), a brother Gabriel Bonnet, and a sister Cecile Kreins. Another sister Monique Staudhammer is deceased. Yvonne moved to Michigan with her family, James and Larry, in 1959 and has been a long time resident of Rochester Hills. In addition to caring for her family, Yvonne spent much of her life volunteering for causes in support of the developmentally disabled. She was a past president of AMORC. Inurnment services are private. A public memorial service is being planned for a later date. Donations may be made to the Futures Foundation, 16200 Nineteen Mile Road, Clinton Township, MI, 48038. Arrangements by Pixley Funeral Home, Rochester.

Dear Jim,
I am so sorry for your sad loss. It was a privilege to work with Yvonne during the early days of AMORC. She and you were pioneers in the movement to community living for people with disabilities. I admire your efforts to make a difference in the lives of others. I hope to join you and others who share my appreciation for Yvonne's gifts to our community when you have the public service.
