Yvonne Harrison Lescure

Yvonne and I first met in 5th grade at the old South School in Middletown, Ohio. We have remained best of friends all these years - through high school, college, weddings and motherhood-through joys and sorrows. Although we have lived many miles apart, ours was the kind of friendship that transcended time and space. I will miss her dearly -- Yvonne was a very special woman. We were so sorry to hear about Yvonne's death. We were having family at the lake the week of August 9 through August 16 and missed seeing the notice in the newspaper. She was a friend, neighbor, a teacher to Melanie, mother of Rusty's childhood friend, Steven. She was also a great lady. She will surely be missed.

Janice, My condolences to you and all Yvonne's family. I was shocked and greatly saddened when Beverly Maddox called me to say Rosa Jane had been in touch with her with the news of Yvonne's passing. Many beautiful memories came flooding back as I think of my very special friend and neighbor from 7th grade onward---including being in each other's wedding. I'll never forget her and the rest of your extended family that I met through those teen-age years. I was blessed!

She was such a sweet, beloved person and I know I will greatly miss her smile and warm heart. I pray for peace in this time of great loss but know that we will see her again.
