What a blessing to have known Mrs. Szyperski as a mentor and a friend at Start HS.... I could never call her anything but Mrs. Szyperski out of respect for her.

What a beautifully written tribute to your mom. I was a student at Start. I didn’t have her as a teacher, but I knew her well anyway. My condolences to all who loved her.

I met Yvonne when I was invited to have breakfast with the girls on Friday.I really enjoyed getting to know her.She was so pretty and always dressed beautifully and then would say something so funny, it would make me laugh....it was my pleasure to be able to meet and spend so much time with her...Kathy Genzman

Mrs. Szyperski was one of the teachers I remembered most. She was kind, but expected your best and worked hard to make sure you achieved that goal. I may not have appreciated it in high school, but am very grateful for it now. What a great teacher who taught us so much more than history.

Mrs. Szyperski was an exceptional teacher who tolerated nothing but high expectations from her students. Classy, stylish and professional, she was a pure joy to work with at Roy C. Start High School. May her memory be a blessing.
