Z. Jean Wagner, 79, of Dresden, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, July 17, 2012 in the emergency room of Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
Born March 2, 1933 in Dresden she was a daughter of the late Charles Wolford, Sr. and Zona (Preston) Wolford. Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker and a member of the Dresden First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 399 and was an avid bowler having bowled in various leagues for over fifty years. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
Surviving is her husband of fifty years, Robert L. Wagner whom she married January 20, 1962; a daughter Robin Wagner of Dresden; three sisters, Donna (Ronnie) Mercer of Frazeysburg, Saundra Noland and Becky Brown both of Dresden and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Thelma Wagner and six brothers, Charles Wolford, Jr., Kenneth Wolford, Ronald Lee Wolford, Ralph Wolford, Gerald Wolford and Robert Wolford.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, July 20, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Offenberger officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

Bob and Robin, I am so very sorry for your loss. She was such a nice person. I remember her often dancing to the band and always smiling as others have said. I am so sorry I missed the calling hours. Rest in Peace and may you both find comfort in your memories.

Uncle Bob and Cousin Robin, I know that I speak for all the Gabbards, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Aunt Jean! Aunt Jean's beautiful smile will be missed! But in this time of sorrow, I am at peace knowing that her and Dad are in heaven playing cards, eating heavenly rice and waiting for each of us to join them in good time 1 day. You both are in our thoughts and prayers. All of our love!

Bob and family, We are sadden by the loss of Jean. She was sweet soul the always had a smile. We enjoyed the chats when we ran into her.

Aunt Jean, was a sweet lady, she seemed to have a smile every time I seen her, she will be missed soo very much. Greatest cake maker. RIP aunt jean
