Zachariah Guzman

With deep sadness we announce the passing of 14-year old Zachariah Guzman on October 14, 2023. He was born on March 11, 2009 in Las Cruces to Jacqueline Markham and Javier Guzman. Zachariah was a freshman at Organ Mountain High School. He was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Friends and family recall him being extremely funny, able to make anyone laugh even in serious circumstances mostly because he just wanted people to be happy. He was fiercely loyal and protective of those he loved.  His happy place was being outside playing football and riding his dirt bike. When with family and friends he loved being silly and just having fun.

Those left to mourn his passing include his parents Jacqueline and Javier, brother Zeke Guzman, and two sisters Kendall Marie Guzman and Sevyn Natalia Guzman. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents Jay Markham and Lucia Young, paternal great grandparents Bruno and Enriqueta De La O, maternal great great grandparents Martha Louise "Lou" and Jesse Dale Kirkes, paternal great great grandparents Olivia and Edmundo Guzman, and his close friend Dante "DJ" Garcia. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 28, 2023 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. A Dedication site will be placed in his honor for his friends and family to visit at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue.
