Dr. Zachary Bert Friedenberg

I was 4 years old in 1956 when I was hit by a car in West Philly. Dr. Friedenberg helped heal my shattered leg with a new technique by putting bolts through the bones to help them knit enough to put me in a body cast. That was 64 years ago. scientist, and humanist. He became one of my favorite profs at Penn in the 70's in large measure because of his integrity, clinical acumen, and extraordinary [dry] sense of humor.
