Wilder, Zachary died on September 19, 2009. He was born September 23, 1960 to Mrs. Artie Wilder and the late Rev. Cleveland Wilder, and loved music from his earliest childhood. Music seemed to run in the family. After a friend encouraged his mother to allow Zachary to take formal lessons, he...

Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to the family. I have not been in touch with Zach since our days at SMU but I've always had fond memories of his spirit, his outgoing personality and witty humor. He was a friend to all. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

This was such a shock. Zach was truly an inspiration to the students at SMU. He was the director of our Gospel Choir. Wherever Zach was, he always started a choir! Many blessings to the family.

May God bless you in during this time. Zack will be missed many, however we know he is in a better place where he can continue to watch over us.

To the Family of Zachary Wilder . . .

Our hearts go out to you in sympathy and love. Although God has plucked one of His finest from this earthly garden, know that Zachary touched many lives with his warm, beautiful smile and caring persona. The world of music in the DFW area will surely experience a void with his leaving, but, we pray that God, who makes no mistakes, will bring comfort and in time, peace to your family.

Warmest regards,
Dan & Shirley Lewis

I had the blessed privilege of sharing the ministry of music with Mr. Wilder during the mid-90s. He displayed a masterful command of the gamut of church music literature with unrivaled expertise. He respected the beat of the director's baton as though it were in his hand at the same time. He possessed an extraordinary ability to fully engage the choir while providing a truly worshipful music experience for the pulpit and pew.

I commend his family to God during this time. When...

He called me "Denoosha" I called him "Zachariah"... He said I was crazy...I told him he was crazier ....He would ask how Lauren(my daughter) was doing and I would ask how his Momma was doing ...every single time we saw each other every single day for 20+ years...
I will always cherish those memories and the fact he was the absolute best smelling man in Xerox/XCS ALL the time !
God Bless Wilder Family...he was truly a unique and very gifted man. He never met a stranger.... I will...

Zac,i will always remember your warm smile and sense of humor.I will cherish those rigid choir rehearsals we had and the trips we(choir)took with you.May God bless you and your family during this time.

Zach...this is hard. You were so quiet about what was going on...I kinda expected to see you on the B3 any Sunday now. It was a pleasure playing hymns and songs of praise with you. You will be missed, but I'm glad the suffering is over.

What a beautiful Spirit leaves this vail of tears and is truly free! Praise God! Now unemcumbered, soar among the stars, dance in the music of Praise! Dear friend, you are not forgotten.
