A dear fellow and friend who was taken from us all too soon. A wonderful wit, a curious mind and a loving heart. I wish he was still here. Miss you Zack.

To the Zabinsky Family I offer my sincere condolences to you for Zach´s passing as well as Steves whose notice I´ve just read. Zach and I were classmates at Newport and I always looked up to him as a kind and decent person - obviously shared by the folks replying on this page. We remember you both fondly.

Even though I didn't know Zach very long, I enjoyed how kind and funny he was. Thank you Micky, for keeping the memories going. Karen

I am so saddened to read this news just now, years later. I had written an email to Zach and didn't get a reply. I knew this was uncharacteristic so went looking for his law office number online and found this notice. How I wish he could have read the email, though I had already articulated my immense thanks and appreciation of him as my lawyer.I told him how without his help during the worst tine of my life, I would never have made it, that he was my HERO. Tears are running down my cheeks...

I knew Zack in grade school. I was a pitcher for the Woodridge Seals in Little League and Zack was my catcher. I used to go to his house and visit and always admired his open, loving family. Zach (as a kid) was gregarious, fun and engaging. We were in sixth grade together and played in band together. He was always positive despite his challenges, a great friend and a positive force, even at such a young age. My condolences to his family.

I am stunned and saddened by the passing of this generous, sweet man as I just now learned about it after googling for his telephone number. He was always professional and so good with clients. His family surely is left with a hole in their hearts. I'm so sorry for your loss. I now miss him, too. -Jenna D. Harden, Woodland, WA

I am an old high school friend of Zach's and had thought I would try to do a search for him of facebook and reconnect... I had heard he was in Portland where I travel fairly often... and instead I was led to find he has passed on. My sincere sympathies to his family and those close to him. Zach was ALWAYS kind and upbeat, sincere and sensitive, while still knowing how to have fun, even in high school. Sounds like he maintained his humor and heart throughout his life. Such a great example...

I was so sad to learn of Mr. Zabinsky's passing today. He was my attorney on a personal injury case and was so comforting, gentle and professional that it was a pleasure to work with him on case that was anything but. He was the kind of attorney everyone should have. I will miss him.

Dear Micky,
Like Steve Dixon and many others, I just learned of Zach's passing today in the Whitman Magazine. I was two years his junior at Whitman and have held happy, warm memories of his friendship for 30+ years. I always thought we would meet again - but alas, too late. I would have enjoyed meeting you, too. I will continue to remember, until the day I, too, move on, Zach's ringing endorsement of transcendental meditation, his limericks, his laugh and his smile. Thirty years later...
