Not sure what to say?

I will always remember the many gatherings at the Lipsman home, all marked with warmth, love, laughter, and amazing food. To Zeldene, everyone was "honey" and no one left her presence without feeling a little more cared for than when they arrived. The Lipsmans are one of Des Moines' great families, and I mourn with her children, grandchildren, extended family and many, many close friends. We are so saddened by her passing, and will miss her greatly.

Dear Sandy, Frank , and Julie
So sorry to hear about your mother. I always admired her and always new what a great and caring mother, grandmother and SPECIAL aunt she was. My thoughts are with you all and your families.

Zeldene, a dear friend of my mother, was a mench in whatever role she had. In her community, work, family, marriage, friendships, and more, Zeldene was faithful and dedicated to welcome others into her life. She always would rather give than receive and not one to take credit. I will cherish the times I was welcomed in her family. With all my love, Ricky

Oh those chocolate chip cookies-always waiting in the kitchen! Mrs. Lipsman was gracious, generous, fun, and a joy to be around. Like my sister Ellen, I remember her so fondly.

Zeldene was a loving grandmother and mother-in-law. She loved her grandson Danny and was unfailingly kind to me. I will remember her fondly.

Mrs. Lipsman was like a second mother to me during my high school years in Des Moines. Her home and heart were always open to me and my family and she always made a special effort to attend my family's happy events. I remember her with great affection.

Sincere condolences being sent to the family of Zeldene Seidenfeld Lipsman from those who have walked the same halls at North High School. The tradition and legacy of the memories at North High will be diminished with her passing.

Zeldene was a wonderful friend and one of the best cooks around. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone.
